Senior government officials, policymakers and public-sector executives will converge in Ghana for the 7th Africa Public Sector Conference.
The official APSCA website confirms that the seventh edition is scheduled for October 14–16, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra, under the theme “Governance 2030: Resilient Institutions for a Digital, Green & Secure Africa.” It also lists Felix K. Koskei, Kenya’s Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, among the distinguished speakers, alongside senior officials from Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya.
ACCRA, GHANA — Ghana is set to welcome senior government officials, policymakers, public-sector executives and institutional leaders from across Africa as the 7th Africa Public Sector Conference and Awards (APSCA 2026) takes place from October 14–16, 2026 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.
The three-day continental gathering will focus on the future of governance, public-sector transformation, innovation and institutional development under the theme: “Governance 2030: Resilient Institutions for a Digital, Green & Secure Africa.”
According to the official APSCA 2026 platform, the conference is expected to bring together more than 300 senior decision-makers from over 10 African countries, with participation spanning governments, public institutions, private-sector organisations and other stakeholders.
High-level participation includes representatives from Kenya, Nigeria and Tanzania, with the conference platform also highlighting senior leaders from across the continent.
KENYA TO LEAD HIGH-LEVEL PARTICIPATION
Kenya will be represented by Felix K. Koskei, EGH, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, who is listed among APSCA 2026’s distinguished speakers.
The official conference platform also lists Fatuma Achani, Governor of Kwale County, and Dr. Mamo B. Mamo, Director General of Kenya’s National Environment Management Authority, among the Kenyan participants.
Kenya’s participation is expected to provide an opportunity to share experiences in public-sector transformation, institutional development and governance innovation with counterparts from across Africa.
NIGERIA SET FOR STRONG REPRESENTATION
Nigeria is also expected to play a significant role at APSCA 2026, with senior political and public-sector leaders scheduled to participate in the continental gathering.
The conference’s official platform lists Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Nigeria’s Minister for Interior, and Festus Keyamo, SAN, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, among its distinguished speakers.
Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, National Chairman of Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress (APC), is also expected to participate, according to information released ahead of the conference.
His proposed keynote address, titled “The Party as Platform: How Governing Parties Can Architect Digital, Green and Secure Governance for 2030,” is expected to contribute to discussions around political leadership, governance and institutional transformation.

ACCRA TO BECOME A MEETING POINT FOR AFRICAN LEADERS
Returning to Ghana, APSCA 2026 is expected to provide a platform for senior African leaders to exchange practical experiences and explore solutions to common governance and development challenges.
The official APSCA platform says the conference has, since 2018, brought together senior leaders, policymakers, C-level executives and other stakeholders to advance discussions on public-sector excellence, innovation and transformation.
Akin Naphtal, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of InstinctWave Group, the organisation behind APSCA, said the gathering would provide an opportunity for African leaders and institutions to move beyond dialogue and explore practical solutions that can be adapted across the continent.
“APSCA 2026 is bringing together some of the people, institutions and ideas shaping Africa’s future,” Naphtal said.
12 FORUMS TO DRIVE CONTINENTAL DIALOGUE
APSCA 2026 will feature specialised forums addressing major areas of public-sector development, including governance, women in the public sector, energy, procurement, public finance, trade, digital government, education, public-private partnerships, ESG and sustainability, customer experience and youth empowerment.

MADE IN AFRICA FESTIVAL TO SHOWCASE INNOVATION
A major feature of APSCA 2026 will be the Made in Africa Festival, which is expected to provide participating countries, government institutions, development partners and private-sector organisations with a platform to showcase African innovation, public-sector transformation, infrastructure, trade, technology, investment opportunities and locally developed solutions.
The country-focused exhibition is expected to give participating delegations an opportunity to showcase what their countries are producing, developing and innovating while connecting with governments, investors, development partners and businesses from across Africa.
With governance, digital transformation, sustainability and institutional resilience at the centre of the agenda, APSCA 2026 is expected to position Accra as a key meeting point for conversations about Africa’s public-sector future.
