Accra, Ghana – LG Electronics has unveiled its enhanced NeoChef Microwave, introducing 20 African AutoCook menus designed to make preparing authentic African dishes easier, faster and more convenient for households across Ghana.
The new appliance was developed following extensive research into African cooking habits and local consumer preferences. By combining LG’s Smart Inverter technology with specially programmed AutoCook functions, the microwave helps users prepare traditional meals while preserving their taste, texture and quality.
The enhanced NeoChef comes with a 42-litre capacity, 1200W output, grilling functionality and Smart Inverter technology for faster and more even cooking. It also features an EasyClean™ antibacterial interior coating, intuitive touch-and-dial controls, and supports grilling, roasting, baking, reheating, defrosting and fermentation.
One of the standout additions is its expanded AutoCook menu, offering 28 preset programmes, including 20 African-inspired recipes. Users can prepare dishes such as Jollof Rice, Moi Moi, Poundo Yam, Coconut Rice, Fish in Curry Sauce, Asun and Suya Roasted Fish with minimal effort using optimized cooking settings.
Speaking on the launch, Oktae Kim, Product Director, Home Appliances Solutions at LG Electronics West Africa, said African cuisine is known for its rich flavours and cultural significance. He noted that the enhanced NeoChef combines advanced cooking technology with locally relevant innovation, allowing consumers to prepare their favourite meals more conveniently while maintaining authentic taste and quality.
Beyond African recipes, the NeoChef Microwave also includes Arabic and European cooking programmes, making it suitable for a wide variety of international cuisines. LG says the appliance is designed to be an all-in-one cooking companion for today’s modern kitchen.
The LG AutoCook NeoChef Microwave is now available at LG Brand Shops and authorised retailers across Accra, Kumasi and other locations nationwide.
