Residents of Ablekuma North are witnessing renewed attention to infrastructure as Member of Parliament Ewurabena Aubynn continues to push development initiatives across the constituency.
Road and drainage works have been among the key areas receiving attention, with recent activity focusing on infrastructure and flood-control challenges affecting communities within Ablekuma North.
The Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly recently reported that the MP, together with Municipal Chief Executive Musah Adamu Kalamu, inspected ongoing dredging works at the Sakaman and Lafa storm drains. The exercise involves the removal of accumulated silt, solid waste and overgrown vegetation to improve water flow and reduce flooding risks.
The Assembly said the drains are important flood-control channels for surrounding communities, where poor drainage has historically contributed to flooding, property damage and disruption to economic activities.
Road development has also remained a major concern for residents of the constituency. Earlier reporting indicated that roads, sanitation and flooding were among the key development challenges identified by Aubynn after she won the Ablekuma North parliamentary rerun in July 2025.
