Five passengers have reportedly sustained injuries after armed robbers attacked two VIP Jeoun buses on the Accra–Kumasi Highway in the early hours of Saturday.

According to reports circulating on social media, the attackers targeted two VIP Jeoun coaches travelling along the busy highway. The assailants allegedly opened fire during the attack, leaving five passengers injured.
The injured victims were reportedly taken to nearby health facilities for medical treatment. The exact severity of their injuries has not yet been officially confirmed.
Security agencies are expected to investigate the incident and intensify patrols along the Accra–Kumasi Highway, a route that has witnessed several robbery incidents in previous years.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement detailing the circumstances surrounding the attack or whether any arrests have been made.
